Hotel Reservations

The host hotel for the 2018 CGA Strategic Conference is the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel, which is directly adjacent and connected to the Palm Springs Convention Center.  Located in scenic Palm Springs California at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, the resort offers a unique upscale experience including spacious guest rooms, cosmopolitan spa and is just a short walk to downtown Palm Springs.  The Hilton Palm Springs will serve as a secondary option and is within walking distance to the convention center.

Hotel Information

You must make your hotel reservation through Orchid Events. Hotel rooms fill quickly and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, attendees are only allowed to reserve up to 2 rooms under their name. Any additional rooms booked under the same name will be canceled immediately and without warning.

Hilton Palm Springs – $164.00 per night plus tax

Deadline

All reservations must be received by August 31, 2018, to guarantee availability and conference rates. After this date, reservations will be made based on availability and hotels may charge higher rates

Deposit

All reservation requests must be accompanied by a credit card guarantee or check equaling the amount of one night’s room and tax for each room reserved. Your credit card WILL NOT BE CHARGED during this initial stage and will be held as a GUARANTEE only.

Acknowledgments

Orchid Events will send reservation acknowledgments within 24 hours via email if booked online or by phone; fax and mail acknowledgments will be sent within 72 hours of receipt. If you do not receive your acknowledgment in this time frame, contact Orchid Events. You will not receive a written confirmation from the hotel.

Cancellations & Changes

When booking your hotel accommodations, you must provide a credit card number to guarantee payment. Cancellations after August 31, 2018, and prior to 72 hours before arrival date will be subject to a $25 processing fee. Deposit of one night’s room and tax will be forfeited entirely if cancellation occurs within 72 hours of arrival date.

Through September 14, 2018, send requests for changes and cancellations in writing to Orchid Events via e-mail (help@orchid.events) or fax to 801-355-0250. After September 14, 2018, contact hotels directly to make changes and cancellations.

Hotel Suites

If you are interested in booking a hotel suite, please email help@orchid.events. There is a limited number available at a discounted rate for CGA attendees.

Requests are subject to approval from CGA Show Management. It is our policy that Conference attendees are not allowed to sponsor any functions that conflict with a scheduled Conference event. This applies to events held in hotel suites, meeting rooms and/or any outside location.

Orchid Event Solutions, CGA’s only official Housing Company is coordinating hotel reservations for the conference. When you book your room with Orchid Event Solutions you will receive the following benefits:

Warning: Beware of Housing Poachers

There is a possibility that you may receive a fax, e-mail transmission or phone call that offers you cut rate housing for the CGA Strategic Conference. The intent is to convince you that the offer is made on behalf of the California Grocers Association or the CGA Strategic Conference. This is not the case. Many associations and show organizers have become the unwitting victims of these room block poachers who secure attendee company names to solicit business. DON’T BE MISLED.
